▲The International Digital Asset Committee to Host Policy Forum: "Enhancing Daejeon's Content with Digital Integration"
The International Digital Asset Committee (IDAC) announced on the 22nd that it will hold a policy forum titled "Enhancing Daejeon's Content with Digital Integration" on Friday, the 25th, at 3 PM in the Communication Room on the 3rd floor of the Daejeon Metropolitan Council building.
This forum is hosted by the Daejeon Metropolitan Council and organized by the Administrative and Autonomous Committee, with support from the International Digital Asset Committee and Uzynex. Recently, Daejeon has been making strides to position itself as a hub for online and offline cultural content by hosting large-scale local festivals such as the "Midnight Festival" and "Bread Festival", strengthening the intellectual property (IP) of its mascot, Kumdori, and attracting e-sports events.
The forum aims to present specific examples of how digital services can be integrated into the city's content and content distribution projects while exploring effective methods for their widespread adoption.
The International Digital Asset Committee (IDAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a healthy digital asset ecosystem. It undertakes digital asset dissemination activities in areas such as social contribution, culture and arts, education, ESG, and other societal sectors. Utilizing digital services such as AI, big data, blockchain, NFTs, gaming, metaverse, and cultural and educational content, IDAC proposes practical solutions to social issues.
City councilor Lee Joong-ho of Daejeon will preside over the forum, which will focus on three themes derived from Daejeon's key cultural content initiatives: local offline festivals, expanding Kumdori IP, and promoting gaming and content services. Experts in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and gaming will present specific solutions based on these services.
Councilor Lee emphasized, "The period after the festivals, such as the 'Midnight Festival' and 'Bread Festival,' which Daejeon has heavily invested in, is crucial for establishing them as globally competitive cultural icons of the city. Through this policy forum, we aim to explore specific and realistic ways to enhance Daejeon's festivals with better content and global competitiveness."
Won Eun-seok, Chairman of IDAC, stated, "Discussions on the expansion of digital asset services often involve industry insiders and experts. However, identifying the needs and challenges in fields where these services are actually applied is the most crucial aspect. By leveraging the advantages of digital asset services, we strive to create practical and feasible solutions. IDAC plans to continue identifying societal demands where digital asset services can offer realistic alternatives, as exemplified by this policy forum."
