On April 4th, the International Digital Assets Community (IDAC), chaired by Won Eun-seok, announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Art Media Department at Mokwon University for fostering local cultural content creators and expanding the utilization of digital assets. The ceremony took place at Mokwon University's College of Fine Arts at 11 AM.
Attending the signing ceremony were Chairman Won Eun-seok from IDAC, Professor Jang Sang-geon, head of the Art Media Department at Mokwon University, and Professor Kang Hyun-wook, among others.
The Art Media Department at Mokwon University aims to lead the convergence of technology with arts, philosophy, humanities, and sciences to pioneer professional interdisciplinary artists in the digital media era.
Through this agreement, the two institutions have committed to:
▲Supporting creation and marketing activities of artworks using NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens)
▲Providing education for experts in digital assets and NFTs
▲Cultivating local cultural content creators
▲Collaborating for the development of digital assets and cultural content
As part of the "Everyone's NFT" campaign under the motto "Expanding Everyday Realms with Digital Assets," IDAC plans to support NFT minting and marketplace platforms in collaboration with Mokwon University's Art Media Department, partnering with Graybridge Inc .
Starting from 2023, Mokwon University will integrate NFT minting of student-created artworks and live commerce (online real-time trading between sellers and buyers) into its curriculum, attempting actual sales through marketplace platforms. This initiative aims to establish an educational program that uniquely integrates technology through digital assets, from creation to marketing.
Professor Kang Hyun-wook of the Art Media Department at Mokwon University stated, "This is a great opportunity for us to showcase the distinct characteristics of our department by leading new attempts combining digital assets with art. I hope to provide students with opportunities where their excellent creations can be recognized and valued beyond the classroom, facilitating them to continuously engage as artists."
Chairman Won Eun-seok of IDAC remarked, "Through this collaboration, we will strive to create a foundation for emerging artists active in the local community to sustain their artistic activities through digital assets. As digital assets like NFTs increasingly integrate into the art sector, creating new value and revenue models, it is crucial to provide diverse opportunities, such as those offered by Mokwon University, to experience this from the early stages.
