[Jungang News – Reporter Kim Sooyoung] The International Digital Asset Committee (IDAC), chaired by Professor Eunseok Won of Mokwon University, announced on the 31st that it hosted the first-ever Future Forum at the headquarters of Rani Design Co., Ltd.

The Future Forum, hosted and organized by IDAC, is held under the slogan “Expanding the Horizon of Possibilities through Digital Assets.” The event serves as a platform for open discussion on how various types of digital assets—such as blockchain, NFTs, AI, virtual assets, data, fintech, social media, cultural content, gaming, webtoons, and educational content—can be integrated across industries to generate synergy and expand business opportunities.

This inaugural forum focused on real estate as its main theme, specifically addressing topics such as reconstruction and remodeling, as well as Non-Performing Loans (NPLs), in anticipation of future service expansions in the digital asset sector through institutionalized offerings like Security Token Offerings (STOs) and Real World Assets (RWAs).

In a presentation session, Park Sang-hee, CEO of Rani Design, shared insights from her 10 years of experience in the field, highlighting the value and vision of reconstruction and interior design within the real estate sector. Following this, Ahn Young-hyo, CEO of Barun NPL, delivered a talk titled “Assets That Shine in Recession: NPL,” explaining key NPL terminology, their structure, evaluation methods, and techniques for generating real returns through NPL investments.

A group discussion followed, where participants exchanged ideas on the potential for platform-based services in reconstruction and NPLs, including possibilities for fractional investment products.

Park noted, “Although digital assets are still a relatively unfamiliar concept in the real estate sector, it’s a field where many new products could emerge as digital asset services become more widespread. It’s worth continuing to explore these connections.”

Ahn added, “Most real estate-based platform services function well in booming markets, but I believe it's equally important to explore digital asset-based services that can function during market downturns.”

Chairman Eunseok Won of IDAC emphasized, “For digital asset services to gain traction, it's crucial to expand touchpoints with a wide range of industries. This requires professionals with experience and expertise in different fields to actively integrate digital asset services into their existing business models. Through regular forums like this, we aim to continuously offer participants new opportunities for experimentation and collaboration.”

The event offered a fresh perspective on how digital asset values can be analyzed and applied to real estate platform services, highlighting the emerging potential of this convergence.
